Socks are knit from cuff to toe with an afterthought heel. Instructions are written for dpns but can be adapted to any type of needles appropriate for sock knitting. If using dpns, any length may beĀ used, however, shorter āsock needlesā are easiest to maneuver because the stitches wonāt easily slip out of the work and the needles not in use donāt get in the way. Sock needles are lighter weight as well.
