The SOMYA socks are worked from the cuff to the toe. After a ribbed hem, a two-colour textured pattern is worked over the foot down to the toes. The classic heel flap and the sole are worked in one colour, so that the top of the foot has to be worked by using the intarsia technique in rounds.

Size:

These instructions are for shoe size 39/40. The foot length can be adapted to other sizes by doing more or fewer repetitions of the pattern.

You need:

1 x 50 g (1.76 oz) Pascuali Pinta or Pascuali Pinta Hand Dyed (60% virgin wool 20% mulberry silk 20% ramie) in colour A 

1 x 50 g (1.76 oz) Pascuali Pinta or Pascuali Pinta Hand Dyed (60% virgin wool 20% mulberry silk 20% ramie) in colour B

Colours of the pictured sample:

Colour A: #115 Burgundy

Colour B: #112 Strawberry
